The persistence of poverty poses a formidable obstacle to global progress, impacting millions worldwide. Our commitment to poverty alleviation encompasses a comprehensive strategy targeting its underlying causes while empowering both individuals and communities. We firmly advocate for universal access to education, healthcare, and essential resources, recognizing these as pivotal in breaking the cycle of poverty. Through the promotion of inclusive economic growth, our aim is to elevate individuals from impoverished conditions, paving the way for sustainable development and lasting prosperity.

In the wake of the pandemic, the global struggle against extreme poverty has intensified, with 659 million individuals facing daily hardships on less than $2.15. The pandemic’s impact has been particularly severe, reversing years of progress and exacerbating poverty levels by adding 70 million more people to the ranks of the extremely poor. Despite these challenges, there remains a beacon of hope: the possibility of leveraging sustainable economic growth to uplift impoverished nations without significantly increasing global emissions.

In response to this urgent need, Livelihood Development International Initiatives presents the program “Ending Extreme Poverty by 2030: A Global Initiative.” This initiative is driven by the overarching goal of facilitating sustainable economic development in impoverished nations, ultimately eradicating extreme poverty by the end of the decade while prioritizing environmental stewardship.

The Livelihood Development Initiatives’ Global Micro Forest Program is a strategic initiative designed to address climate change, biodiversitThe program outlines a comprehensive set of objectives and strategies to achieve its ambitious goal. Objectives include halving the number of individuals living below the poverty line by 2027, fostering environmentally friendly economic growth, enhancing livelihood opportunities for marginalized communities, and fostering international partnerships for resource mobilization and knowledge exchange. Strategies encompass country-led development plans, investment in sustainable livelihood initiatives, capacity building and skills development, facilitating access to finance and markets, and promoting international cooperation and knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
